About The Role

Publishing.com seeks a Senior Direct Response Copywriter with a proven track record of crafting high-converting, FTC-compliant copy for video ads (Facebook & YouTube), sales funnel landing pages, and email marketing campaigns. Your words will drive engagement, conversions, and customer growth as we continue revolutionizing the self-publishing industry with our AI-powered platform, Publishing.ai, and educational programs.

This role is critical in ensuring our messaging remains high-performing and fully compliant with FTC guidelines, advertising policies, and industry best practices. We're looking for someone who can champion compliance, guiding the team with insights, best practices, and proactive recommendations to uphold ethical, transparent, and effective marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling, high-converting, FTC-compliant copy for video ads, landing pages, and email funnels that drive customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Optimize messaging through A/B testing, data analysis, and customer insights to maximize performance while maintaining compliance.
  • Develop persuasive storytelling that resonates with publishers looking to scale their success while ensuring all claims are substantiated, truthful, and legally sound.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and media buying teams to ensure copy aligns with brand voice, performance goals, and advertising regulations.
  • Stay current on FTC guidelines, Meta (Facebook) and Google ad policies, and industry standards, ensuring all marketing materials adhere to best practices.
  • Serve as a compliance champion, providing guidance, answering team questions, and offering tips to help maintain regulatory adherence across all copy projects.
  • Continuously refine and improve copy to increase conversions, retention, and overall impact while mitigating legal risks.


Results

  • Increase click-through, conversion, and overall ROAS (return on ad spend) across ad platforms.
  • Improve landing page performance with a compliant, compelling, and conversion-optimized copy.
  • Boost email open rates, engagement, and sales conversions.
  • Develop copy that directly contributes to multi-7 and 8-figure campaign success.


Requirements

  • Proven track record of writing high-converting, FTC-compliant copy that has driven 7- and 8-figure results.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct response copywriting, preferably in digital marketing, e-commerce, or online education and coaching industries.
  • Portfolio demonstrating success in writing high-performing Facebook & YouTube ads, sales pages, and email funnels while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Deep understanding of FTC guidelines, Meta (Facebook) and Google ad policies, and best practices for compliant advertising.
  • Strong grasp of consumer psychology, persuasion, and conversion optimization.
  • Experience in A/B testing, performance tracking, and iterating on copy for maximum results.
  • Ability to write in a clear, engaging, and persuasive tone while maintaining transparency and accuracy in all claims.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Availability for team meetings to discuss strategy, feedback, and performance insights.
